Linnea Andreassen – Mezzosopran

Linnea Andreassen grew up in Uppsala, Sweden where she got her first artistic training in early years as a member of multiple different youth choirs, pop bands and amateur theater groups. In 2012 she was accepted as a student of the classical singing department at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where she took her bachelor degree singing the main part in Kurt Weills opera “Die sieben Todsünden”. Shortly after she started her master education at the University Opera College in Stockholm from where she will graduate in spring 2017. During her time at the Opera College Linnea has worked with very various repertoire from the baroque era to newly written music, for example Sesto in “La Clemenza di Tito” by Mozart, Rosina in “Il barbieri di Siviglia” by Rossini and Nancy in “Albert Herring” by Britten. Linnea has also been working profesionally besides her education for many years, for example as one of the Adelige Waisen in Christoff Loys production of “Der Rosenkavalier” by Strauss at the Royal Opera in Stockholm and later this spring Linnea will make her debut at Malmö Opera as Der Drommler in Viktor Ullmans “Der Kaiser von Atlantis”
